Terms of sale
By buying a name through this site you agree to these terms.
- Who sells. The seller is FlagshipNames.com. In these terms, "we" means FlagshipNames.com.
- What you are buying. The registration of the domain name shown on the page, moved into your own registrar account. You are not buying a website, a logo, content, a trademark or any right beyond the registration. We cannot advise whether a name is free to use for your purpose, and checking that is your responsibility.
- Price. Prices are in US dollars. Where a name shows "Price on request", the price is the one we quote you in writing. A price shown on a name page is the price you pay, not subject to later increase.
- How you pay. You pay through the payment link we send you, using an independent payment service. The service holds your payment until the name is in your account. We never accept payment by email, by direct bank transfer or by any other route.
- Fees and taxes. We pay the escrow fee. Your bank, and your registrar, may charge their own fees. You are responsible for any tax, duty or similar charge that applies to you.
- Availability. We list names in more than one place. If a name sells elsewhere before your payment is taken, we will tell you at once and you will not be charged.
- Transfer. We begin the transfer once the payment service confirms your payment. You must supply the details your registrar needs, and accept the transfer promptly. Most transfers complete within one to three business days, and up to seven between registrars. A registrar may impose a short lock after a change of owner, and we will tell you if yours does.
- Release of payment. The payment is released to us when you confirm the name is in your account, or when the payment service's inspection period ends without a dispute.
- If the transfer fails. If we cannot complete the transfer, the payment service returns your money. Once you have confirmed receipt, the sale is final.
- Our responsibility. We warrant that we own each name we sell and have the right to sell it. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of a name, and our liability for any sale is limited to the price you paid.
- Law. These terms are governed by the law of Singapore, and disputes go to its courts, after you have first contacted us through the Contact page so we can try to put it right.
- Changes. We may change these terms. The terms in force when you pay apply to your purchase.
